Serious Fall Hair Colors

Autumn Woman Fashion Portrait. Fall

It never hurts to be ahead of the curve, even if it’s only in your head at the moment. Spending a few minutes thinking about how you want your autumn style to look while you’re still soaking up the summer fun and sun will put you that much further ahead when it’s time to make the change for autumn. Here are a few ideas to help you get started.

The key next season seems to be to opt for natural but better. For example, if you love your blonde color, go ahead and keep it. Just think about shifting it slightly to a flesh tone or a warmer honey one. You’ll still have the platinum statement but it will fit better with the season. If you’re really daring, embrace the dark roots movement while you’re at it. It’s both natural and devil-may-care at the same time.

There will be an enormous range of browns on display as well. Bronde, a deeper brown base with caramel highlights, brings a lot of dimension while remembering all of that fun in the summer sun. Terracotta is a more muted nod to red with a brown-meets-auburn tone. Chestnut colors get some depth with red and golden blonde accents for shine and warmth. Or go darker still with a rich, dark brown. It’s nearly black, but the brown cast works well with a range of skin tones.
